Auburn Mechanical has hired Stephanie Andersen as chief financial officer. CFO is a new position for Auburn Mechanical and is an important step forward as the company continues to anticipate steady growth throughout the next several years. Stephanie is responsible for overseeing Auburn Mechanical’s financial strategy, as well as managing the day-to-day activities of the Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, and IT departments.
“This is a necessary position as we grow,” said President Stacy Johnson. “It is a very common practice for a company to add this position once it reaches a certain size, and we are thrilled to have Stephanie joining our team.”
Prior to Auburn Mechanical, Stephanie was the controller at an underground-power cable-rejuvenation company since its founding in 2003.
“My philosophy as CFO is to be the champion of responsible, profitable growth while recognizing that people are the driving force behind a company’s success,” said Stephanie.
For 2017, Auburn participated in Childhaven’s Season of Giving by holding a children’s toy drive. Auburn was able to fulfill all of the 35 tags sent to us from Childhaven and also donated money to the food bank.
Congratulations to the Microsoft Buildings 30, 31, 32 (Pebble Beach) and Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) project teams for their wins at the NAIOP Night of the Stars! Auburn Mechanical is proud to be part of those outstanding teams.
Auburn recently finished work on the Kaiser Permanente facility in Burien. It was a design-build, plumbing and HVAC project that included the new ground-up construction of a single-story, 23,000 SF medical office building. Mechanical work completed included labs, imaging, procedure rooms, exam rooms, offices, common spaces and a pharmacy. The scope consisted of a sanitary waste/vent, storm drain, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system, domestic water systems, natural gas, exhaust, and associated ductwork.
Hoa Mai Gardens is a new, 111-unit, low-income housing apartment complex in the Yesler neighborhood of Seattle. The project was for the Seattle Housing Authority, and Auburn was the design-build mechanical contractor in lieu of full design-build and the full mechanical contractor. Other features of the project include a rainwater harvesting system that provides water for the toilets and the solar powered boilers.
Auburn Mechanical Hires New Construction Division Manager
Auburn Mechanical has hired Justin Pritchett as Construction Division Manager. Justin is responsible for managing and supporting project managers, implementing and improving processes, and providing input on short and long-term strategic goals. He reports directly to President Stacy Johnson.
“We are excited to have Justin join our team,” said Stacy. “His previous work experience supports Auburn’s long term objectives of continuous process improvement to streamline our project delivery model for the benefit of our customers. We are looking forward to his new ideas and contributions!”
Justin earned his Bachelors at Central Washington University, with a B.S. in Construction Management. Previously, he held both preconstruction and operations roles for a national general contractor and has experience working on multifamily, high rise, commercial, public works, hospitality, and critical facilities projects.
“During my time in the construction industry, I have had the pleasure of working with Auburn Mechanical on multiple projects,” said Justin. “In my new role with the company I look forward to continuing this working relationship, and I look forward to continuing the Auburn Mechanical tradition of providing the highest level of service to our clients.”
The Southport Offices project had an indoor “groundbreaking” to celebrate the beginning of construction. The owner is Seco Development and the General Contractor is Exxel Pacific. Located in Renton, the project will greatly increase the amount of available office space. The project will include two levels of parking and three, nine-story shell and core towers.
