AM Receives MCAWW Safety Excellence Award
Auburn, WA – In a growing industry where safety hazards are an everyday occurrence, Auburn Mechanical has stayed ahead of expectations and created programs proactively minimizing injuries and risks while on the job.
Auburn Mechanical was once again awarded the MCAWW’s Safety Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year. “We have a proactive approach to safety and make it a part of the work process, rather than an after-thought,” said Director of Safety, Joe Geist.
With multiple high-rise and high-pedestrian projects, safety is essential. The safety program at Auburn Mechanical consists of the “buddy system,” daily safety inspections at job sites, and weekly staff meetings. Employees are recognized for their hard work and ability to conduct operations without injury and in a timely and productive manner.
The award was open to all Mechanical Contractors in the Western Washington region. Auburn Mechanical had an estimated 281,990 total hours worked in 2014— 832 of which were dedicated to weekly safety training.
