Auburn Mechanical provided design-build mechanical services for the 11,000 square foot renovation of the E-Wing Geriatric Psychiatric Care Unit at UWMC Northwest, transforming it into an efficient adult voluntary behavioral health unit. The upgraded facility will accommodate 12-14 patients while also providing dedicated spaces for teaching and training healthcare providers.
To ensure compliance with Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) guidelines, the project scope was strategically designed to avoid substantial alteration classifications while delivering critical HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation upgrades. Auburn’s expertise in healthcare facility renovations ensured a seamless transformation with minimal disruption to ongoing patient care.
