UW Tacoma Learning Commons and Engineering Renovation

About the project

Auburn Mechanical played a key role in the UW Tacoma Learning Commons and Engineering Renovation, enhancing educational spaces with modern mechanical solutions.

Learning Commons: This project included a light mechanical scope within 26,000 square feet of the Snoqualmie and Tioga Library buildings, improving comfort and efficiency in these high-use academic spaces.

Engineering Renovation: Auburn supported the creation of 8,000 square feet of new engineering lab spaces and 3,500 square feet of retail space within an existing historic building. This phase required extensive site investigation and precise integration with existing mechanical systems, ensuring seamless functionality while preserving the building’s historic integrity.

By combining engineering expertise with thoughtful renovation strategies, Auburn helped UW Tacoma enhance both learning and research environments for students and faculty.
