Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic

About the project

Auburn Mechanical played a key role in the design-assist construction of the 42,000 square foot Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic, an outpatient pediatric facility designed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the community. Auburn’s preconstruction team collaborated closely with the design and engineering teams to optimize the ventilation system, shifting from a centralized dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) to decentralized energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) integrated into the building’s existing exterior louvers.

This value management proposal resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in mechanical cost savings, while also reducing overall construction expenses beyond the mechanical scope. Auburn’s expertise in cost-effective, high-performance mechanical solutions helped ensure a more efficient, sustainable, and budget-conscious facility to serve the clinic’s young patients and their families.
