Austin Hanks

Since joining Auburn Mechanical in 2011, Austin Hanks has played a key role in advancing the company’s engineering capabilities. With a background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in HVAC and plumbing design, he specializes in delivering high-performance systems for a diverse range of projects, from commercial developments to specialized laboratory environments.

As SPG Engineering Manager, Austin oversees engineering efforts within the Special Projects Group, ensuring the seamless integration of innovative and efficient mechanical systems. His expertise spans design-build, tenant improvement, and new construction, where he leads project teams in developing sustainable and code-compliant solutions.

Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD). A dedicated industry contributor, he maintains active memberships in ASHRAE and ASPE, reinforcing his commitment to continuous learning and excellence in mechanical design.
