Three members of our Service Department completed the MCA MSP (Mechanical Service Professional) class. The class is a year-long, monthly training program that covers subjects related to the mechanical-service industry. Topics covered included customer service, estimating, financials, and safety.
Auburn is currently roughing in mechanical and plumbing systems for the first hotel in Seattle with fully modular hotel rooms. The lobby, offices, and building infrastructure are being built traditionally, and the modular guest rooms risers are being installed by our skilled tradespeople.

Auburn Host Annual Harvest Party at Westland Distillery
We were excited to see everyone at Auburn Mechanical’s Annual Harvest Party, where we had drinks, appetizers, and whiskey tasting with industry friends. This year, we hosted the event at Westland Distillery where we recently completed a process cooling system retrofit. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
On October 16, Auburn Mechanical and the Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington hosted Representative JT Wilcox at our office and fabrication facility. Thank you to everyone who attended.
On October 13, Auburn Mechanical completed the Heart Walk, which is a 5K walk through Seattle. Every year money is raised, and awareness created for the American Heart Association. Thank you to all who participated!
Auburn’s annual summer meeting, featuring a barbecue and ping pong tournament, was a success. The event started with a “state of the company” from President Stacy Johnson, department reports, and a safety discussion. After the business side was complete, the barbecue and charity ping pong tournament began.
Thank you to everyone who participated in raising money to benefit the Auburn Food Bank, Auburn Youth Resources, and American Heart Association. Congratulations to the ping pong champions – John and Joel (2017 repeat champions!).
Auburn Mechanical has finished work as the mechanical engineer and design-build contractor on the Bayview 62+ Community Renovation and Addition. The project added 120 living spaces to the community and is located in Queen Anne, Seattle. The project included residential rooms, therapeutic pools, boiler rooms, a sky lounge, and a garden room.
The team did not approach the project as something that gave them problems. They found it as fun and asked themselves “How can we get creative?” and “How can we do well?” Working in a 24/7 occupied space was a logistical puzzle that required creative solutions from our project team. For example, we had to schedule around naps and the lunch hour.
The project scope was full mechanical (plumbing and HVAC). Areas of work included:
• Boiler Replacement
• Ductwork Installation
• Air Handler
• Residential Bathrooms
• Kitchens
• Waste Lines
• Therapeutic Pool Comfort System, Dehumidification, and Heat Exchanger
Our 6th Annual Charity Golf Classic was again an overwhelming success! The event supported the American Heart Association (AHA), Auburn Food Bank, and Nexus (Auburn Youth Resources). We appreciate the continued support of all our sponsors and volunteers, with their help we are able to raise funds to benefit these worthy causes.
Auburn Mechanical just received the Zero Injury Award from SMACNA (Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractor’s National Association). Good job team!
